Former pop starlet, Paris Hilton placed a collect call to family friend Barbara Walters yesterday from prison. This is a direct comment from the hieress turned reality star turned wannabe pop star: “I used to act dumb,” Paris told Barbara. “That act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference. God has given me this new chance.”

Barbara Walters is a long time friend of Paris’ mom, Kathy Hilton and the journalist is suspected to be trying to land the coveted 1st interview once Paris has been sprung from prison in a few weeks.
